This Thai dog rescue centre offers a great opportunity to get training in all aspects of dog care in a beautiful part of the world close to the beach.

The overpopulation of dogs, as in most countries, is a huge problem that causes a lot of suffering. This sanctuary is doing a huge amount to try and alleviate the problem.

Volunteers will be helping with all aspects of care.
Feeding programs, assisting with neutering/spaying, emergency medical support, vaccinations, cleaning the runs, general care and welfare of dogs eg walking , cleaning feeding and introducing new dogs to the shelter. The key crisis time seems to be low season March-November and Volunteers stay  for 2 weeks minimum as a lot of training is involved and often causes additional work for the staff.

This would be a great opportunity for travel and volunteering. There is also an elephant sanctuary close by, beautiful scenery, temples, everything at the door step.

Project price includes
Accomodation with western facilities is provided 5kms from shelter with pick up and drop off.
Transfers from BKK and pick up at the airport can be arranged.
