Animal Care Assistant (ACA): Typically, an ACA has more direct contact with the animals than anyone else in the organisation, as they carry out the very important aspects of animal care on a daily basis - including cleaning, feeding, handling and exercise. Although this position is sometimes viewed as "the bottom of the ladder", (and this is reflected in the salary!), it is an extremely important and rewarding position.

Diploma in Canine Studies
This Diploma course is aimed at those with an interest in dogs, either in an employment capacity, or simply for pleasure. The Diploma in Canine Studies will be awarded by Oxford College to those students who satisfactorily complete all 10 Units of this course.

Diploma in Feline studies

This Diploma course is aimed at improving the knowledge base of pet owners, and those involved with cats professionally. It delivers a wide syllabus of topics to provide the student with an introduction to the width and breadth of the subject area. Students will study a wide range of topics, including historical, practical, legal and scientific aspects of the field of feline studies. These range from examinations of folklore, anatomy, genetics, cattery management and animal law. The Diploma in Feline Studies will be awarded to those students who satisfactorily complete all 10 Units of this course.
