Horse World, (Friends of Bristol Horses Society) was formed by volunteers in 1952 to care for unwanted horses and ponies from agricultural and industrial backgrounds, such as farming and the coal mines. IFAW International Fund for Animal Welfare From the outset, the founders of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, or IFAW, rejected the notion that the interests of humans and animals were separate. Instead they embraced the understanding that the fate and future of harp seals - and all other animals on Earth - are inextricably linked to our own. Job vacancies listed on this link.

The Kit Wilson Trust for Animal Welfare (KWT) A cornerstone of the Trust's founding policy is to promote the spaying and neutering of pets. Over the years, the Rescue Centre has also become a permanent home to many animals which it is not possible or desirable to re-home: these include horses, donkeys, cats, goats, birds and small rodents. Job vacancies are advertised from time to time.

Last Chance Animal Rescue, Kent rescues animals of all types, some saved from destruction in Welsh pounds others handed in to them for whatever reason. The Monkey Sanctuary, Cornwall has been home to a colony of woolly monkeys since 1964. The Trust has evolved and is now campaigning to stop the primate pet trade in the UK. They are able to offer sanctuary to a few of the monkeys in Britain who desperately need a safe and socially stimulating environment. Jobs are advertised from time to time.
