Diploma in Canine Studies

This Diploma course is aimed at those with an interest in dogs, either in an employment capacity, or simply for pleasure. The Diploma in Canine Studies will be awarded by Oxford College to those students who satisfactorily complete all 10 Units of this course.

This Diploma course is aimed at improving the knowledge base of pet owners, and those involved with cats professionally. It delivers a wide syllabus of topics to provide the student with an introduction to the width and breadth of the subject area. Students will study a wide range of topics, including historical, practical, legal and scientific aspects of the field of feline studies. These range from examinations of folklore, anatomy, genetics, cattery management and animal law. The Diploma in Feline Studies will be awarded to those students who satisfactorily complete all 10 Units of this course.

The course is divided into three modules, each of which is divided into five lessons. All of the lessons have references to the textbook and carefully selected websites. At the end of each lesson is a set of key words. After studying the lesson you should be able to give the meaning of each of these words. Each second lesson has a tutor-marked assessment which, when completed, should be sent to your tutor.
