Stokenchurch Dog Rescue, Buckinghamshire was originally formed by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray and unwanted dogs as well as those impounded by the Police. The organisation currently has kennelling facilities for 60 dogs and aims to re-home all the dogs that come in to them. Contact to assist as a volunteer.

Second Chance Animal Trust (SCAT), Norfolk finds homes for cats, dogs and all manner of animals. Veterinary and home checks are part of the service. Contact to assist as a volunteer.

Siamese Cat Rescue UK are a registered charity, looking after the welfare of Siamese cats. They operate a rescue and re-homing service and foster unwanted cats. Voluntary assistance required with home visits.

The Sea Watch Foundation is a national charity, dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales, dolphins & porpoises in British & Irish waters. Through its continuous programme of research and monitoring, Sea Watch provides invaluable information on changes to the status and distribution of cetacean populations and the condition of their habitats. The Seal Group was set up to monitor the presence (or absence) of seals in a north coast colony. Contact to assist as a volunteer.

Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital is the world’s busiest wildlife hospital and cares for sick & injured hedgehogs, badgers, wild birds, foxes, even reptiles & amphibians. They are a specialist hospital, using all available veterinary welfare skills, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating all species of British wildlife. Volunteers required.

Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) was established in 1839 to prevent cruelty to animals and promote kindness and humanity in their treatment, the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is Scotland's leading animal welfare charity. Today, its work is as necessary as ever. The Scottish SPCA is a reporting agency for the enforcement of animal protection laws. Volunteers required.

Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, Sheffield is a medium sized animal sanctuary that operates a strict no kill policy. The organisation requires volunteer help.

The Weirfield Wildlife Hospital helps wildlife and provides first aid, primary and secondary care followed by recuperation, rehabilitation and eventual release back into the wild. All care is provided on a voluntary basis – contact to assist.

Wildlives’ works to provide treatment and care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife with the ultimate aim of rehabilitating them back into the wild. The organisation works to create public awareness of wildlife and all issues relating to the benefit of wildlife. Voluntary help required.
