 THE CINNAMON TRUST

 Registered Charity No. 293399

RESIDENTIAL SANCTUARY MANAGER

(circa £16,000 depending on experience, plus free accommodation)

About Us
The Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist national charity for elderly and terminally ill people and their pets.  We recognise the importance of the treasured relationship between people and pets and we recognise that this relationship is, more often than not, seriously threatened by infirmity and frailty.
We step in to ensure that any problem encountered in the day to day care of a pet can be overcome and all the benefits of owning a pet can be preserved.

Our aims are achieved by tasking a national network of over 14,000 volunteers to provide any assistance required including walking dogs and pet fostering.  We operate a national register of care homes/sheltered housing for the elderly that will accept pets.

A principle concern for elderly and terminally ill pet owners is the long term care of beloved pets.  We provide lifetime care for pets whose owners have died, either in our unique home from home sanctuaries or in long term foster homes.

About the Job
This is a fully residential position, with responsibility for the health and happiness of all resident animals, the day-to-day organization of the sanctuary, liaison with vets, ordering of stock, receiving visitors and staff management.  The highest standards of cleanliness, care, comfort and life for the animals is expected.

About You
You have extensive knowledge and well rounded experience in the care of dogs, cats, horses, goats, birds and wildlife.  You are interested in holistic care and have some knowledge of alternative remedies.

You are a person of the highest integrity and honesty and you are willing and able to both give and take direction.  You are totally committed and dedicated and you are looking for a life change not a notch on your CV or a stop-gap.  You will care deeply about and empathise absolutely with the aims and objects of the Trust and are able to communicate this enthusiasm at every level.  You are also an excellent team player.
