Dog warden is one of the titles including Animal Warden, Dog Control Officer, Animal Welfare Officer, given to a person who works, directly or indirectly, for a Local Authority as result of the 1990 Environmental Protection Act. The act requires for a person from each local authority in the UK to be employed for the collection of stray dogs.
