satisfy the rigorous standards applied by a number of independent
bodies inlcuding Lantra and EADL. These independent bodies range from
the professional to the academic and many are under the control of
government departments and offices.
The International Society of Animal Professionals: Our society
was founded to improve animal welfare around the world. We want to
provide a focus point to all interested parties around the world and to
promote international cooperation and common standards of good practice
when working with animals. We therefore aim to encourage dialogue and
better understanding of difficulties and different methodologies, to
recognise experience and academic achievement and by so doing, work
towards an improved existence for all animals worldwide.
The International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC):
As a result of the mutually compatible interests in promoting highly
qualified, ethical animal behaviour advisors, together with the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, we are
pleased to announce the approval of continuing education units now
being awarded for select courses and classes. The IAABC is a
professional association for the field of animal behaviour consulting.
The association represents the professional interests of behaviour
consultants throughout the world. It is involved with the problems,
needs and changing patterns of animal-owner relationships, and helps to
ensure that trained practitioners meet the publics needs. The
association's members meet standards for education and training and are
held to the highest ethical standards of the profession. Certified
members qualify in one or more species-specific divisions, working with
dogs, cats, horses, and/or parrots. Associate members are consultants
in practice, on the path to Certified membership.
EADL:
The European association of schools, institutions and individuals
working in correspondence and distance education. With members from
over 20 European countries, the Association is a representative forum
for the exchange of information and ideas on current practice and
developments in the expanding field of distance learning. Nearly all
member states of the European Community are represented in the EADL.
But the EADL has also members in Norway, Russia, Switzerland and
Turkey. With 5,000 different courses the members of the EADL work with
more than 2,5 million students all over Europe.
Lantra Awards:
Lantra Awards is a nationally recognised Awarding Body approved to
develop and accredit Qualifications they specialise in qualifications
and training for people in the land-based and environmental sector.
Lantra Awards have more than 30 years experience and operate through a
national network of local approved centres and training providers.
Lantra Awards are currently working with existing and new providers to
ensure that provision meets the needs of employers and of learners.
Lantra Awards has achieved ISO9001:2000 and is accredited for Investors
in People. They are committed to providing first rate customer service

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL):
We are pleased to announce that the ZSL will accept our students’ applications for Student Fellowship of their
organisation (application forms are sent out as part of the
registration process). Apart from an extensive list of benefits to
individuals, we feel that it is an honour to have been allowed such an
arrangement which permits our course provider to promote and support
the conservation and research work that is carried out by such an
esteemed organisation.
UKRLP:Animal
Jobs Direct is listed on the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP)
which is a project led by the Government's Department for Education and
Skills.
The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme:
The Kennel Club’s Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training
and Canine Behaviour is a membership scheme open to anyone working, or
wishing to work, in any area of dog training and canine behaviour. It
should be pointed out that the KC do not formally ‘recognise’ or
recommend any course providers, any provider claiming such recognition
is doing so without their permission. The KC does however accept that
certain courses do contribute towards and support the scheme and many
of our courses fall into that category.
The U.K. Registry of Canine Behaviourists Ltd (UKRCB): As
a result of the mutually compatible interests in promoting highly
qualified (practically and academically), professional and ethical
canine behaviour advisors, we are pleased to announce a
formal association with the UKRCB. The UKRCB, founded in 1992 is a
professional body of canine behaviour therapists with members
practising throughout Great Britain and a selected number of
international members. It comprises a nationwide network of canine
behaviour advisors who offer a comprehensive referral service to
veterinary surgeons and their clients for owners of dogs with behaviour
problems.The UKRCB, recommended by the Dogs Trust (formerly the
National Canine Defence League) has a real commitment to education and
promoting responsible dog ownership. Membership is open to practising
canine behaviour advisors who meet the criteria and high standards set
by the UKRCB.
