Animal Welfare Officer

The Mayhew Animal Home has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and highly-motivated individual to join our team of Animal Welfare Officers, working at the forefront of welfare issues arising outside of the Home. The candidate will play a vital role in assisting the organisation in the promotion of our Community Animal Care initiatives, ensuring a prompt response to those in need. Candidates should have proven hands-on animal experience, with VN qualifications desirable, excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. A full, clean driving license is essential. A team player, the post holder will also need to show good time management skills as well as being able to work independently, making well assessed judgement calls when necessary.
