Animal Keeper
Howletts Wild Animal Park is part of a charity based organisation committed to
protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive
breeding and reintroduction programmes. We are proud to be the home of
one of the world’s most prized wild animal collections.
We are looking to recruit a Floating Animal Keeper whose time will
be divided between the five animal sections in the park.
Applicants must be physically fit and prepared to work weekends and
bank holidays. You must have previous experience in a zoo/animal
collection as you will be required to work with a broad range of
species including Cats, elephants, ungulates and primates. You will
have very high standards of enclosure/food preparation cleanliness,
have great verbal and written communications skills and be comfortable
giving information talks to the public. Tractor and trailer driving
skills desirable.
Normally working 40 hours a week, five days out of seven 8.00am to 5.00pm you will be required to overtime as and when needed.
