Friends of Conservation (FOC) is a conservation charity that works with local communities across the world to protect their surrounding wildlife and habitats. FOC works with local partners in the Caribbean, India, Iran, Namibia, Peru, Tanzania, Uganda as well as supporting their field station and programme in the Masai Mara, Kenya. FOC is committed to working with local peoples to develop and promote a balance between their needs and those of the wildlife with which they share their natural habitat and ecosystems. FOC has offices in London UK, Illinois, USA and Nairobi, Kenya. Volunteers are required for a variety of roles.

International Animal Rescue (IAR) aims to come to the aid of suffering animals with hands-on rescue and the provision of short or long term rehabilitation. They have projects around the world and wherever possible they return rescued animals to their natural habitat, but they also provide sanctuary for animals that can no longer survive in the wild. They work with other likeminded organisations and government departments to develop sound legislation to protect animals from cruelty and neglect. IAR specialises in providing comprehensive sterilisation and vaccination programmes for stray dogs and cats to control populations and prevent the spread of disease. They aim to produce practical solutions that benefit both animals and people. Volunteers assist with projects abroad and in their UK office.

Sepilok Orangutan Appeal UK is a registered charity based in the south of England, dedicated to the rehabilitation and preservation of Orangutans and their habitat in the Sabah region of Malaysian Borneo. Volunteer placement information on their website.

Project Aware Foundation operates worldwide to conserve underwater environments through education, advocacy and action. Volunteer assistance required.

SOS RHINO is based in the USA and Borneo and is a non-profit, international foundation dedicated to preserving the five rhinoceros species in their natural habitats. Their conservation programs combine research, education, marketing and advocacy, all working collectively to achieve sustainable results. SOS Rhino develops and funds rhino conservation and awareness programs, providing countries with the knowledge and tools to build lasting rhino conservation. They are looking for volunteers interested in saving the Sumatran rhinoceros. Volunteers help collect data, assist with building camp sites, fundraise and help teach English to some of their field staff.

Travellers Worldwide an organisation dedicated to helping volunteers to live and work abroad helping children, adults, animals and entire communities in less advantaged countries.

Trees for the Future is an organisation that has been the steward of planting trees throughout the world since the early 1970's. Through a people to people action plan, they restore tree cover to the world's most degraded lands. Planting trees helps keep people productive on their lands, preserving their traditional livelihoods and cultures for generations to come.

World Fund Aid (WFA) is a UK-based charity, set-up to help tackle the desperate animal welfare and conservation issues of the world. Through funding various projects, they have helped build sanctuaries for rescued animals, provided food and veterinary care for those in captivity and helped raise the importance of animal welfare & conservation education. Volunteer assistance required.

Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) strives to provide a sustainable veterinary resource to help animal organisations around the world. WVS seek to alleviate suffering and improve the welfare and moral perception of animals worldwide by: co-ordinating teams of volunteers to assist the work of animal welfare organisations in all countries, supplying medicines, equipment and advice where they are needed most, providing sustainable input, building long term relationships and leading education programmes to the benefit of local animal and human populations, promoting and conducting research in all matters relating to animal welfare. Volunteer members are required to assist with planned trips around the world.
