Career as a Zoo Curator
Curators: Zoo Curators are responsible for acquiring animals for the zoo - through captive breeding programmes, from other zoos and sometimes from the wild. Zoo Curators liaise closely between government agencies and the zoo to ensure that the trade, transport and collection of these animals is done according to government guidelines and rules. Some Zoo Curators may be in charge of the various zoological units, a zoo’s entire animal collection and animal management staff.
