Exeter University BSc Conservation Biology and Ecology Over the three years of the programme, you will learn about the science of conservation and ecology, building up your knowledge of biology, evolution, behaviour and genetics. You will gain skills that are essential for working conservationists and ecologists, including wildlife identification and data handling.

Biological Sciences BSc (Hons) offered at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, this course allows you to combine two different subjects areas within the Life Sciences: Animal Behaviour. Animal Welfare, Biology, Ecology and Conservation, Environmental Biology, Genetics, Marine Biology, Microbiology, Natural History, Wildlife Biology. Please note that Environmental Biology cannot be combined with Ecology and Conservation.

Biological Sciences degrees The range of degree schemes in Biology and Biological Sciences at Swansea University has been developed to allow you to study living organisms wherever your interests lie, from aspects of molecular and cellular biology through to the biology of whole organisms and populations.

Biology, with a year in industry offered by the University of Liverpool, this course includes a basic introduction to Biodiversity of Animals and Genetics and Evolution. Subsequent modules cover Invertebrates and Chordates, Reproduction, Development and Ageing, Ecosystem, Communities and Conservation, the Open Sea, Marine and Freshwater Plant Ecology, Population Ecology and Pest Control and Applied Ecology.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Marine Mammal Medic Course the organisation now trains over 400 volunteer Marine Mammal Medics a year and has 20 whale rescue pontoons located at strategic points throughout the UK, waiting to help stranded whales and dolphins. Coastal marine biology degree is offered by the University of Hull Centre for Coastal Studies. They deliver a Coastal Marine Biology programme that trains graduates to be practising marine biologists. As well as spending up to 40% of their time in the lab and field, learning by exploring marine topics for themselves, they also time-table sessions for students that wish to learn to dive.

Certificate in Wildlife Biology is offered by University of Bristol, Biological Sciences. This is a part-time course designed to meet the needs of mature people interested in wildlife. It has been created by considering the work of wildlife conservation organisations and the training given to wildlife biologists in Europe and North America. The course runs over two years and teaching takes place in the evenings and at weekends.

Biological Sciences/Zoology distance learning course is offered by the University of Aberdeen who has a long tradition of research and teaching in Zoology. Zoology graduates can be found working in a wide variety of scientific and educational organisations at home and abroad.

Conservation science degrees Conservation scientists are increasingly shifting their emphasis from ‘protectionist’ approaches towards those that are more ‘interventionist’, recognising the role of human activity. If you enjoy biology or geography, are interested in how our natural heritage is protected and enhanced and like working outdoors, then this is the degree for you. The University of Stirling offer Conservation Management, Conservation Biology and Conservation Science with Education degrees.
