Environmental Studies online and distance learning course offered by the University of Exeter offer a range of courses in Environmental Studies and now enables you to work towards a Certificate and/or Diploma and soon, a Degree in the subject will be possible. Ecology degree is offered by the University of Hull. There is a real demand for ecologists who are trained in field skills to deal with the big environmental issues of our time both in the UK and abroad. They also offer the Environmental Science Degree rather than tacking an environmental science degree onto a pure chemistry or biology degree, as has happened at many other institutions, this degree was designed from scratch to have a holistic approach. Frontier Conservation Training Training and education are crucial core values of Frontier. Training is given to volunteer Research Assistants and Expedition Trainees, Frontier staff and in-country students and natural resource officers. Their highly qualified, permanently employed field staff teams ensure students are given excellent, high quality training on each expedition. If you need confirmation of the training received and techniques experienced for employment or university applications you will receive a written reference. You can also formalise your training through one of their unique BTEC certifications. Marine Biology Degree courses are offered by the Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge & Chelmsford. Studies begin with a general marine biology module, which provides an overview of the variety of marine organisms and their environments. Later students have the opportunity to study a module which deals with the biology of the open oceans and to attend a marine focussed field course in the UK. Marine Biology degree offered at Swansea University is highly practical, with fieldwork forming an integral and essential part of the course. Primatology Undergraduate Courses The Primate Society of Great Britain (PSGB) has compiled a useful list of primatology courses. Wildlife Management Foundation Degree Foundation degrees are courses with a larger element of work-based and practical learning than usual in many BSc courses. The Foundation Degree in Wildlife Management is designed to meet the requirements of modern and realistic wildlife management and conservation in the UK and mainland Europe. Wildlife Conservation with Zoo Biology BSC and Wildlife and Practical Conservation BSC courses are offered by the University of Salford, Manchester. The wildlife degree programmes are designed to provide students with a broad understanding of wildlife, wildlife ecology and environmental problems threatening species, from both theoretical and practical points of view. Physical and biological components of the environment are covered. Suitable qualifications if you want to pursue a career involving wildlife, working in the wild or in zoos, or want to get involved in conservation of wildlife and landscapes. Wild Animal Health & Wild Animal Biology MSc offered by the Royal Veterinary College (RVC). These courses complement the range of disciplines in which students may carry out supervised research over a period of three years for a PhD degree. The needs particular to clinically orientated postgraduates have been specially catered for in terms of the DVetMed degree.
