Pet Sitting Dog Walking Course
This Pet Sitting Dog Walking course is designed for those who want to set up their own business as a Professional Pet Sitter and Dog Walker.
The course is written by animal professionals who understand the current pet sitting and dog walking industry.
The well-being of animals in your care is a huge responsibility and has to be taken seriously if a pet sitting business is to be successful.
Gaining this Level 3 Diploma, will re-assure pet owners that you have sufficient knowledge to take care of their pets.
This is a 6 module theory course with an OPTIONAL 1 to 1 Practical training day that can be added on to enhance your theory knowledge. The practical training is held in Cambridgeshire.
Continued Professional Development
This course counts for 60 hours CPD
Companion Animal First Aid
The first module of this pet sitting dog walking course, is all about ensuring that you have up to date first aid knowledge; this is vital for anyone engaged in this type of work who may need to assist animals in an emergency situation.
Dog and Cat Care
This module covers the basic care and welfare of cats and dogs; including recognising signs of ill health, nutrition, vaccinations, with an emphasis on how to provide emotional, mental and physical stimulation and environmental enrichment.
Small Animal Care
This module covers the basic care and welfare of small animals incl. signs of ill health, nutrition, vaccinations, with an emphasis on how to provide emotional, mental and physical stimulation and environmental enrichment.
House Security and the Law
This concerns the legal side of being in someone else’s property whilst caring for their pets. It includes some emergency procedures and security of the home.
Professional Dog Walking
This module covers all aspects of walking dogs, including equipment, dogs and the law, handling and restraint and understanding canine aggression.
Running your Business
This is currently optional to course achievement and it covers a number of vital factors that are involved in being a self-employed Pet Sitter & Dog Walker. You will have an overview of maintaining records for income purposes, registering with the Tax people and general aspects of being your own ‘boss’ in the formal sense.
£175 followed by 3 x monthly payments of £70
