Veterinary Surgeon
The Mayhew Animal Home is currently looking to recruit a Veterinary
Surgeon to join their fast-paced, small animal Community Veterinary
Clinic. The position will need to ensure that the highest standards of
care and welfare are provided for in-house and outpatient animals in
their community vet clinic and undertake clinical duties. The
successful applicant should have excellent surgical skills, good time
management, strong organisational skills as well as excellent
communication skills.
Veterinary Nurses
The Mayhew Animal Home is looking to recruit two highly motivated
Registered Veterinary Nurses to join their fast-paced, small animal
Community Veterinary Clinic. As a member of this busy team you will
need to ensure that the highest standards of care and welfare are
provided for in-house and outpatient animals. This position will
involve supervising animal care assistants working evening and early
morning shifts.
Head Veterinary Nurse
The Mayhew Animal Home is currently recruiting for a Registered Head /
Senior Veterinary Nurse to provide maternity cover for a one year fixed
term contract in their fast-paced, small animal Community Veterinary
Clinic. As a member of this busy team you will need to ensure that the
highest standards of care and welfare are provided for in-house and
outpatient animals This person will be responsible for a team of 6
veterinary nurses, 2 student nurses and 2 reception staff so experience
of managing people is a must and well as being a clinical coach or
willingness to take training.
Volunteer Vet
Safari Volunteer programme is currently in urgent need of a vet. Set up
three months ago the programme is aiming to improve the animal welfare
within Safari Park and Open Zoo near Kanchanaburi, Thailand (two hours
from Bangkok). They have access to a large variety of animals including
several species of monkey, leopards, tigers, binturong, giraffe and
elephants.
Veterinarian
The Lilongwe Wildlife Centre is Malawi´s only internationally
accredited wildlife sanctuary counting the likes of the Tusk Trust,
Born Free Foundation and Stichting AAP amongst their supporters. As a
´People and Wildlife´ project they also have a number of environmental
education and outreach programmes working together with the local
community and have won awards for their work. Currently they house
around 200 wild residents including baboons, monkeys, antelopes,
reptiles, birds, a lion and a leopard, and there are new intakes every
week. They work to the highest animal care and welfare standards and
have an active release programme, returning any rescued animals back to
the wild wherever possible. With such a busy animal care department
they are looking for a qualified veterinarian to join the LWC team for
6-9 months.
