British Columbia SPCA (BCSPCA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in BC. Through its 36 branches located around BC and its provincial office in Vancouver, the BC SPCA provides a wide range of services for more than 40,000 homeless, abused, injured and abandoned animals around the province. Cochrane Humane Society is a charitable organisation dedicated to promoting and preserving the well-being of animals, sustained by volunteers and the community. Ontario SPCA Through its province-wide network of 25 Ontario SPCA Branches and 31 affiliated member Humane Societies, the Ontario SPCA is one of the largest, most responsive animal welfare organisations in the country, providing care and shelter for tens of thousands of animals every year. They employ a wide variety of staff and vacancies are continually advertised. Ottawa Humane Society is a not-for-profit organisation that has provided shelter and medical care for thousands of animals since 1888. Seeing Eye, Toronto is the oldest dog guide school in the world. Twelve times a year, as many as 24 students at a time discover the exhilarating experience of travelling with a Seeing Eye dog. The Seeing Eye employs about 180 people at its Morristown campus. Jobs range from kennel workers to veterinarian technicians, and clerical staff to database specialists.
