Association of British Wild Animal Keepers (ABWAK)
The objectives of the Association are: to improve cooperation among
animal keepers, both nationally and internationally; to provide,
encourage and organise facilities for the meeting of keepers of wild
animals; to improve, through education, the professional competence of
all involved with wild animal husbandry; to support the conservation of
wildlife through out the world.
Institute of Zoology (IoZ)
is the research division of the Zoological Society of London (ZSL). It
is a government-funded research institute specialising in scientific
issues relevant to the conservation of animal species and their
habitats. The Institute is based at ZSL's Regents Park site, London.
Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW)
is a unique scientific and technical animal welfare organisation. They
use scientific knowledge and established expertise to improve the
welfare of animals kept as pets, in zoos, and on farms and of wild
animals with which we interact. As well as advertising jobs, they also
award grants and scholarships.
