Auarium Displays Supervisor Brighton
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Displays
Supervisor to join the team at the World’s Oldest Operating Aquarium in
Brighton, Sussex. In this role you will take responsibility for
ensuring the continual development and innovation within the displays
areas. Naturally you’ll be responsible for maintenance plans of the
life support systems and the cleanliness of our displays as well as the
development of suitable diets and feeds for our creatures, ensuring we
present world class displays.
Conservation Scientist
Conservation Scientist - Great ape and forest elephant programme in Djoua-Zadie-Mwagna, Gabon
A position is available, starting as soon as possible for an initial
period of 12 months, as a Conservation Scientist on ZSL’s great ape and
forest elephant programme in Gabon. The Zoological Society of London
(ZSL) has been working in Gabon since 2001 and has recently started a
landscape wide great ape and forest elephant conservation programme in
the Djoua-Zadie-Mwagna (DZM) area in the north east of the country.
Youth Co-ordinator Internship
ZSL is currently preparing for the upcoming UN Conference on
Sustainable Development (Rio+20) and is looking for a Youth Coordinator
intern to assist on organizing a side event for young people during the
conference.
This voluntary position is ideally full time (Monday to Friday, 37.5
hours a week), ideally for seven months and will be based in ZSL’s
Conservation Programmes and Education departments. The ideal candidate
will be very interested in youth issues, have a passion for
conservation and sustainable development, and be self-motivated and
hardworking.
Receptionist/ Mail Clerk
We have a vacancy for a Part-time (2 days a week) Receptionist and Mail
Clerk who will join a small team responsible for providing Reception
and post room services at our Offices at Regent’s Park. You will be
dealing with enquiries and the activities of a busy reception.
Additionally, you will assist within the post room where your duties
will include receiving, sorting and despatching mail in line with our
policies and procedures. Relevant Administrative duties will also be
undertaken.
Project Manager, Wildlife Wood Project
A position is available, starting as soon as possible, as the Project
Manager of ZSL’s Wildlife Wood Project in Cameroon. Recognising the
role that the timber sector could play in biodiversity conservation,
the Zoological Society of London initiated the Wildlife Wood Project in
2007, establishing partnerships with two timber companies in Cameroon,
and working with the Cameroonian government and local communities to
improve wildlife management in timber production forests.

offers you the opportunity to join the staff at ‘the best little zoo in
the world’ in their work of housing rescued animals and providing
wildlife education to the people of Belize. You can get involved with
the animal management or the education side of work. The project is
available for 2 weeks – 6 months. We also offer animal projects in
Africa and Asia.

Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW)
is a unique scientific and technical animal welfare organisation. They
use scientific knowledge and established expertise to improve the
welfare of animals kept as pets, in zoos, and on farms and of wild
animals with which we interact. As well as advertising jobs, they also
