For those who have decided what type of animals they would like to work or volunteer with, and for those already working with these animals, we have developed several Level 3 Care, Behaviour and Welfare Diploma courses. These are specific to dogs, cats, horses, rabbits etc and include information about animal care subjects such as: Health and welfare, nutrition, behaviour & psychology, environmental enrichment, exercise, grooming and more.
The Animal Care and Welfare Courses are all designed as relevant training for working with a variety of companion animals. The courses that we offer are set at Levels 1 - 4. Level 1 is Pre GCSE, Level 3 is the entry Level we suggest for most students (this is an open entry course and we don't require students to have any prior qualifications to enrol), Level 4 is A Level standard.
As well as courses specific to one species, we also offer courses dealing with the broad subjects of behaviour and first aid for companion animals. This training is of relevance for anyone working with companion animals and to pet owners.
We offer many Animal Care courses dealing with different species and for people wanting to work in all sectors of animal care. For many people wanting to work with animals, it can be difficult deciding what type of animals to work with and what type of work with animals to pursue.
